WHAT TO DO IF YOU’RE PORTING YOUR EXISTING NUMBER

Please continue using your current SIM card until you lose service with your current carrier (usually on a requested day). Then insert your new FSG SIM card. Your service should then become active on Optus.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED TO UNLOCK YOUR HANDSET

If your handset is more than five years old and you haven’t recently run a software update, you may need to contact your current service provider for assistance to unlock your handset

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH DATA

You may need to change your APN settings.

  • Go into general > cellular data > APN settings and change your APN to one of the following:
    • yesinternet
    • yesoptus
    • OWHBB (for Home Wireless Broadband)

NOTE: You will need to switch the device onto flight mode to register the change. Then access the internet through Safari.

NEED TO SET UP YOUR VOICEMAIL?

  • Dial 321 and follow the voicemail tutorial to record your personalised voice mail message. If you ring the voicemail number and they ask for a ‘mailbox number’, then it is not activated, and you need to call customer service on 1300 000 488
  • Once you have recorded your message, change your PIN and leave a name
  • To activate diversions to voicemail, enter the following individually:
    • If busy  **67*101# ‘send.’
    • If no answer  **61*101**30# ‘send.’
    • Turned off/out of range **62*101# ‘send.’
